President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Opening the meeting, the President gave floor to Vice Premier A. Gochyev, who reported on the existing situation in in the spheres under his supervision and the progress in drafting regulatory acts in compliance with the State Programme for the Privatization of Enterprises and State Property for 2013-201.

As was reported, in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan on the Privatization of Enterprises and State Property, which will come into force on July 1, 2014, an Intergovernmental Central Commission will be established and regulatory acts will be drafted in this sphere.

Commenting on the report, the President note that the Commission membership should include representatives of relevant ministries, departments, and local authorities and provided a number of comments and recommendation in this regard.

Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva informed the Turkmen leader on the progress of work on the complex modernization of the legislative basis of the state and fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions on improvement of the Main Law of Turkmenistan.

Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov reported on the preparations for the International Conference on Migration and Stateless Persons to be held in Ashgabat on June 23-24. The forum initiated by by the President of Turkmenistan will be held jointly with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Over 16 international organizations and 32 world countries will participate in the forum.

Within the framework of the meeting, the President signed the Decree on the Granting Citizenship of Turkmenistan authorizing to grant citizenship to 786 stateless persons. Then Vice Premier M. Yazmuhammedova informed the Turkmen leader on the programme of cultural events dedicated to the Harvest Day (Galla Bayramy) and the Day of Medical Workers of Turkmenistan celebrated in our country in July.

Informing the Turkmen leader on the programme of the Week of Culture to be held in Dashoguz on June 23-29, the Vice Premier reported that workers of culture and art from 18 world countries would take part in the creative forum.

Vice Premier B. Hojamuhammedov reported on the existing situations in various sectors of the fuel and energy industry of our country and the measures taken to improve the work of the structures under his supervision.

The President signed the Resolution “On improving the regulations of exchange bids for exporting oil and gas industry products of Turkmenistan to foreign states” and instructed the relevant officials to take rigorous control over the export of oil products produced in the country to foreign consumers.

Vice Premier B. Italmazov reported on the existing situation in the industrial sector as well as on the preparations for the ceremony of opening of a new cotton mill in Kunyaurgench Etrap in Dashogux Velayat.

Vice Premier P. Taganov informed the President of Turkmenistan on the preparations for the day of Economy of Turkmenistan in Paris and the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of our country.

Vice Premier S. Toylyev submitted the draft of the document on establishment of new secondary vocational schools in the country to train specialists for the Ministry of Public Utilities and the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

The President signed the document and underlined the significance of organizing the educational process at the high level with the use of the most advanced methods.

Vice Premier, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh. Durdylyev reported on the progress in implementing the urban development programme and the large-scale construction projects in Ashgabat and fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions.

The President expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the Vice Premier and reprimanded him for the failure to keep rigorous control over the work of the structures under his supervision.

Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov reported on the progress of the grain harvesting campaign.

Vice Premier S. Satlykov informed the Turkmen leader on the outcomes of the working trip to Balkan Velayat and the progress of construction of the Bereket - Etrek section of the North-South transnational railway.

The President underlined the need to study the scientific and research achievements of foreign states in developing the various spheres of economy. In this regard, in order to introduce the world experience into the national economy of Turkmenistan, the President signed the Resolution authorizing subscription for periodicals published abroad for July-December 2014.

Vice Premier M. Artykov submitted the draft of the Resolution on completion of construction of bridges along the Mary - Turkmenabat route to the Turkmen leader for consideration. The Vice Premier also reported on the progress of reconstruction and construction of the Ashgabat - Turkmenabat highway as well as on the outcomes of working trips to Ahal, Mary and Lebap regions on June 18.

Signing the Resolution, the President demanded the relevant officials to ensure the further modernization of the road infrastructure.

Other state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the government meeting.
