President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the Vice Premiers, the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat and the heads of the ministries and departments. The meeting agenda focused on the measures taken to improve social and living conditions of citizens, implement the national social and economic development programmes and the industry development plans and conduct seasonal agricultural activities.
Khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat reported on the progress in implementing the grain harvesting campaign, on the work done to ensure the high organizational level of this agricultural activity and efficient use of agricultural equipment as well as the measures taken to treat cotton fields. It was also reported on the work done to improve the efficiency of construction works in the regions, the measures taken to ensure fire safety and high organizational level of the Week of Culture in Dashoguz Velayat.
Ashgabat Khyakim R. Nurnannedov informed the President on the progress in implementing the plans on the architectural and infrastructural development of the Turkmen capital as well as the programme of events on occasion of the remarkable dates.
Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov, Minister of Public Services K. Gurbanov, and Minister of Economy and Development B. Taganov informed the Turkmen leader on the work done in the spheres under their supervision.
The draft design of water desalination and purification facilities to be built in the regions were demonstrated to the President.
With the aim to ensure water supply in the country, it was initiated to establish a special department in charge for this area at the Ministry of Public Services.
