President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Executive Vice President and Corporate Executive Officer of Sony Corporation Mr. Shoji Nemoto.
The Turkmen leader and the top manager of the Japanese company discussed the prospects and possibilities of expanding fruitful cooperation, the relevance of which is based on the national development priorities of Turkmenistan.
Stressing that innovative Sony products have an impact on the rapid development of Japanese economy as well as serves as the guarantee of quality and reliability, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the Japanese company to participate in the ongoing projects in Turkmenistan.
Exchanging views on the promising fields of bilateral cooperation, the Turkmen leader and the top manager of the Japanese company focused on the need to build up cooperation in the communication sector. With the view to further promote fruitful partnership, the CEO of Sony Corporation put forward a number of proposals to enhance Sony’s participation in the projects aimed at modernizing Turkmenistan’s communication sector, including through applying HD and 4K systems.
The talks focused on the ways to strengthen contacts in the organisation of sporting events, in which the Japanese company has gained considerable experience. In this regard, the possibilities to involve Japanese companies in the organisation of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which will take place in Ashgabat in 2017, were discussed.
