President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was on a working visit to Balkan Velayat, held a meeting of the State Security Council to consider the work done in the first half of the year. The meeting agenda focused on the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies in the reporting period and the priority measures taken to fulfil the important tasks set to the agencies.

Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of National Security Ya. Berdiev, Chief of the State Border Guard Service M. Yslamov, Minister of Defence B. Gundogdyev, Minister of Internal Affairs I. Mulikov, Prosecutor General A. Hallyev, Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Charyev, Minister of Justice B. Muhammedov, Chairman of the State Customs Service A. Hojamgulyev, Chief of the State Service for the Protection of Security of the Healthy Society A. Osmanov, Chairman of the State Migration Service D. Bairamov reported on the work done in January-June and the measures taken to fulfil the Turkmen leader's instructions.

Commenting on the reports, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces gave specific instructions to the high-ranking officials. In particular, emphasis was placed on the importance of strictly monitoring the implementation of construction projects, strengthening discipline building activities among military servants, improving the quality of professional training and increasing the responsibility military and law enforcement officers for fulfilling the assigned tasks.

Other issues were considered and the decisions were taken during the meeting of the State Security Council.

After the meeting had concluded, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the construction site of the building of the Naval Institute of the Ministry of Defence under construction on the Caspian seashore.

After considering the projects for interior and exterior design and equipment of the Institute building, the President provided specific recommendations and made some adjustments to the projects. Providing the specific comments to the Minister of Defence, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded that the quality of construction work and the adherence to construction schedule should be taken under strict control.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces visited the shipyard of the State Border Guard Service. The Turkmen leader was informed of the shipbuilding technologies used at the shipyard and the conditions of service created at new ships The Turkmen leader inspected the specimens of new modern cars to be placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Wishing military servants every success in performing selflessly their sacred duty to the Motherland, the Turkmen leader left the meeting venue.

The Turkmen leader completed his working visit to Balkan Velayat on that day. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived at Turkmenbashi International Airport, from where the President's plane left for Ashgabat.
