President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Rector at Hirosaki University, National University Corporation, Mr. Kei Sato.
Expressing his sincere gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest congratulated the Turkmen leader on the Day of Health Care and Medical Industry Workers which is solemnly and widely celebrated in the country on July 21.
Focusing on the exceptional significance of this date which eternizes the adoption of the Saglyk State Programme, Mr. Kei Sato said proudly that he had arrived in friendly Turkmenistan to perform a special mission of presenting the certificate of Hirosaki University to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in recognition for his special contributions to the promotion of the role of medicinal plants in preventing and treating various diseases.
Expressing belief that this visit of the Rector of the top ranked university from Japan would give a powerful impetus to enhance international cooperation in science, the Turkmen leader noted that the top level agreements made it possible to establish closest possible cooperation in professional training, including through inviting Japanese specialists to deliver lectures at higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan, organizing study tours and exchanging experiences between specialists in different sectors.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the advisability of establishing contacts between Hirosaki University and other authoritative research and educational centres in Japan and Turkmen State Medical University and the Centre of Technology recently opened in Turkmenistan.
Given the strong interest of the representative of Japanese science, the conversation focused on possible cooperation in the important spheres of modern life, such as solar power generation, in particular the manufacturing of solar cells of silicon, which the boundless Karakum Desert is rich in.
