President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working meeting with the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Vice Premiers, Khyakims of Velayats and the Turkmen capital. The meeting agenda focused on the important issues of the state policy life as well as the progress in preparing for the festive events on occasion of the 23d anniversary of independence of our Fatherland.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Vice Premiers, Khyakims of Velayats and the Turkmen capital reported on the existing situation in the spheres under their supervision. The reports focused on the results achieved, and the measures taken to ensure the further development of the legislative basis.

The Turkmen leader was also informed on the preparations for the festivities on occasion of the 23d anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan – the main holiday in the life of our country. Vice Premiers and heads of the regions reported on the programmes of the festive events and architectural premiers to be organized on the eve of this remarkable date.

Commenting on the reports, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the significance of the well-coordinated work of all sectors of the economic complex of the country to ensure the successful implementation of the large-scale reformatory programme taken place in the modern epoch.

Commenting on the events dedicated to the 23d anniversary of Turkmenistan independence, the Turkmen leader gave a number of specific instructions to the relevant officials in this regard and emphasized the significance of celebrating the holiday with labor achievements in all sectors of the national economy of the country.
