President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with Vice Premiers, heads of ministries, Khyakims of Ashgabat and velayats. The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues of the socio-economic development of the regions and the country as well, the existing conditions in the agricultural complex, as well as other important issues of the state policy life, including preparations for the festivities on occasion of the 23d anniversary of the sacred Independence of our Fatherland.
Opening the meeting, the President congratulated the military personnel of the State Border Service on their professional holiday and the 22nd anniversary of establishment of the Frontier Forces, and wished them health and great achievements in fulfilling their important and responsible mission - to protect the borders of independent neutral Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov reported on the work done by the foreign-policy agency of our country, and fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions. In particular, it was reported on the outcomes of participation of our delegation in the four-party meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in the capital of the Sultanate of Oman - Muscat on August 5-6, which was dedicated to establishment of a new transport corridor Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Iran - Oman.
The Vice Premier also reported on the outcomes of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on August 7-8 with the aim to take part in the fourth session of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Pakistani commission.
Moreover, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on a working visit of a delegation representing the foreign-policy agency of our country to the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 11-12. The important directions of development of the relations between the two friendly countries and peoples will be discussed during the meeting.
Chairman of the National Space Agency under the President of Turkmenistan A. Ataev informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in implementing the project on creation of the first national artificial communication satellite.
Vice Premier S. Toylyev reported on the outcomes of the meeting of the Extraordinary Commission responsible for preventing communication of diseases. It was noted that according to the WHO report no dangerous diseases have been detected in our country and other neighbouring states.
The heads of velayat administration centres and the Turkmen capital informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in implementing agricultural campaigns and the measures taken to prepare agricultural equipment for cotton harvesting and winter wheat sowing campaigns.
It was also reported on the preparations for the winter season, in particular the Turkmen leader was informed on the work done in schools, kindergartens, apartment houses to repair the heating systems.
Velayat Khyakims also informed the President on the progress in implementing construction projects.
The Turkmen leader was also informed on the preparations for the architectural premiers in the capital, as well as the measures taken to build and modernize highways, and create green zones in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, the President signed the Resolution appointing G. Orunov Deputy Khyakim of Dashoguz Velayat in charge for construction, D. Bayramalyev - Deputy Khyakim of Serdar Etrap in Balkan Velayat, and H. Yuldashev - Deputy Khyakim of Farab Etrap, Lebap Velayat.
The President gave his blessing to start sowing winter wheat in Ahal, Lebap and Mary Velayats on August 29, and in Dashoguz Velayat - on September 7.
