President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a regular videoconference meeting with the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the hyakims of Ashgabat and the regions and the heads of a number of ministries and departments. The progress of seasonal agricultural activities and the implementation of the ambitious development programmes and the important aspects of life of the Turkmen state and society were considered during the meeting.
The heads of the regional administration reported on the measures taken to improve social infrastructure and accelerate the pace of construction of various facilities in the regions. The information in the preparations for the new academic year was presented. The report on the measures taken to hold a meeting of the Elders’ Council in a proper manner in Lebap Velayat was presented.
Reporting on the measures taken to develop the agricultural sector, the khyakims focused on the progress of the winter wheat sowing campaign. The velayat hyakims reported on the progress of construction of facilities to be put into operation to mark Independence Day.

The Turkmen leader instructed the hyakims to properly prepare the heat supply networks for the winter season and hold the festive activities in the regions.
Dwelling upon the progress of construction of new marketplaces in Balkan, Lebap, Mary and Dashoguz Velayat like the Altyn Asyr bazaar in Ashgabat, the Turkmen leader focused on the management of these facilities and involvement of professionals in this work.
The Turkmen leader severely reprimanded the high-ranking officials of the State Committee for Tourism, focusing on the serious shortcomings in their work which hamper the development of the tourism industry at the present stage. Focusing on the need to hold the Month of Road Safety in September next year and each year onwards, the Turkmen leader instructed to prepare the plan of actions.
