President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the head of International Road Transport Union (IRU) Yanush Lachny, who arrived in the Turkmen capital for participation in the High-level International Conference devoted to the role of transport and transit corridors in ensuring international cooperation and sustainable development.
As it was noted in the course of the meeting, in view of its beneficial geographic location, Turkmenistan has all conditions to strengthen its positions as important regional and international transport and transit center. With a view of maximum use of available possibilities, the country realizes wide-scale development programs of all types of transport communication. It is also constructed new motorways and modern railroads.
The head of state and his guest expressed confidence in successful continuation of cooperation between Turkmenistan and International Road Transport Union.
