President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Secretary General of the Intergovernmental commission of the Transport corridor Europe-the Caucuses-Asia (TCECA) Eduard Biryukov, who arrived in Ashgabat for participation in the largest international forum devoted to the role of transport and transit corridors in ensuring international cooperation, stability and sustainable development.

It was discussed the possibilities of expansion of frameworks of cooperation taking into account large-scale national programs, being realized by Turkmenistan on development of transport and communication sphere. In the last years, important projects on construction of unique railway and highway bridges, super modern seaport in Turkmenbashi, which serve for formation of significant regional and international transport routes running through our country in directions North-South and East-West, are realized in the country.

Construction of Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway as well as construction of new steel main line Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan, which is original symbol of fruitful cooperation of the neighboring countries, was ranked among important projects of regional significance, being realized in the transport sphere.
