President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the velayats Ashgabat. The key aspects of social and economic life of the regions and the major short-term objectives were discussed during the meeting.
The heads of regional administration reported to the Turkmen leader on the current situation in the regions, the measures taken in the agro-industrial sector, in particular the preparation of agricultural lands for planting cotton, vegetables and other agricultural crops, and the lambing campaign in livestock farms. The information on the progress in construction and reconstruction of facilities and buildings was presented.
The reports on the preparations for a tree planting action – yovar, the Spring Holiday celebrations and the summer holidays in the regions and the Avaza national tourism zone were presented.
The Ashgabat Hyakim reported on the measures taken to improve social infrastructure in the city and presented the draft designs of various buildings and facilities to be built in Ashgabat in the near future to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
Dwelling upon the condition of sown areas, the President emphasized that cotton growers should take the most responsible approach to the upcoming agricultural campaign and instructed to take all necessary measures to ensure that cotton and other agricultural crops would be sown in a proper and timely manner. The Turkmen leader demanded that the ongoing construction projects in the framework of the national rural development programme would be completed in accordance with the quality requirements and construction schedule.
The Turkmen leader also instructed the hyakims to ensure the high level of organisation of the tree planting action.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded that recreational and entertainment centres for children and adults would be prepared for the summer holidays and the opening ceremonies of such facilities would be scheduled. The Turkmen leader also instructed to take all necessary measures to hold the Novruz bayramy celebrations.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the architectural ensemble of white-marble Ashgabat should be fully consistent with the high status of the capital city of the country. In this regard, the Turkmen leader dwelt upon the work on the beautification of the capital city, in particular the improvement of urban social infrastructure and the optimization of the activities of utility enterprises and gave specific instructions to the Ashgabat Hyakim in this regard.
The President signed the Decree authorising to move the day off from March 22 to March 23, 2015 on the occasion of the National Spring Holiday.
Other issues of the domestic policy were discussed and the decisions were taken during the meeting.
