On the way from the international airport President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the on-going work on the improvement and development of the Turkmen capital.
The State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the buildings of the Argac wool-spinning factory and the Gon leather processing factory affiliated with the Ministry of Textile Industry, located at the intersection of A. Niyazov Avenue and H. Yasavi Street, became obsolete and suggested constructing a new building complex for these enterprises. The Turkmen leader instructed the high-ranking officials to find the place for the new building complex and prepare the proposals on its location.
Noting that given on-going construction of the new building of Ashgabat International Airport and an increased number of guests visiting the capital of Turkmenistan the architectural ensemble of that part of the city should be modernized, the Turkmen leader emphasized the advisability of constructing a modern hotel in place of the obsolete industrial facilities and instructed the high-ranking officials to hold the tender and select the contractor.
The Turkmen leader noted that the architectural look of the new hotel should abide by the principle of a harmonious combination of the achievements of the national art of building and international best practices, emphasizing that the construction project should comply with the urban development concept of the main city of the country.
Focusing on the need to ensure the effective functioning of the hotel, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov suggested that entrepreneurs would manage it and instructed the high-ranking officials to consider the relevant issues. The Turkmen leader noted that the use of the capacity of the private sector to promote the hospitality industry and tourism services would be a new effective step to develop these sectors.
The President wished all those present every success in fulfilling the tasks and left the venue.
