On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Turkmenistan Mr. Mohamed Abdelsattar Mohamed Elbadri.
The diplomat was informed in detail about the ongoing social and economic development projects aimed at improving the welfare of the Turkmen people. Particular emphasis was placed on the science and education reforms contributing to sustainable innovative development of the Turkmen state, the youth policy and the achievement of the objectives of establishing a healthy lifestyle in Turkmen society and supporting motherhood and childhood.
The plenipotentiary representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt was briefed on the structure and multifaceted activities of Turkmen Parliament, the tasks set to deputies of Mejlis at the present stage of development of the Turkmen state.
Emphasizing that Egypt highly evaluated the constructive peacemaking policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Mr. Mohamed Abdelsattar Mohamed Elbadri put forward a number of proposals for the intensification of bilateral relations.
The priority areas for cooperation included trade and economy, science and education. Particular emphasis was placed on the promotion of cultural exchange and the development of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
