President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the festivities on occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day.
According to the State Agency of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged their views on the status and priorities for development of bilateral relations.
Particular attention was paid to training qualified specialists in scientific centres and higher educational institutions in the Russian Federation, where many Turkmen students are studying. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the interest in the experience of Tatarstan that hosted 2013 World Summer Universiade and is preparing for the World Championships – 2015 Summer Water Sports Championship and 2018 Football Championship.
The Turkmen leader and his guest focused on wide opportunities for cooperation in the horse breeding industry and equestrian sports that are an integral part of the culture and national traditions of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.
