President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Republic of Turkey Taner Yildyz, who arrived in Ashgabat for participation in quadripartite meeting devoted to the vital issues of cooperation in fuel-energy sector and possibilities of realization of new infrastructural projects.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest have exchanged views on prospects of the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation, having paid particular attention to the possibilities of development of fruitful interaction in such strategic sphere as fuel-energy complex. In this connection, the subject of detailed discussion became the issues included into agenda of Ashgabat meeting with participation of the representatives of Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and European Commission.
Having noted that these issues are of great interest for the Turkish party, the Minister declared that Turkey fully supports constructive international initiatives of the Turkmen leader related to the securing the energy safety as important factor of sustainable development in the regional and global scale. Farsighted energy strategy of Turkmenistan, being based on principles of diversification of export routes of energy bearers to the world markets and envisaging the formation of multi-choice pipeline infrastructure, is aimed at achievement of these goals.
Having underlined that possessing colossal potential of hydrocarbon resources, our country strives to set it for service of all humanity, the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan makes concrete, successive steps in this direction. Initiating and realizing large projects in the sector of FEC, Turkmenistan is always open for equitable mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners. The current quadripartite negotiations in Ashgabat are vivid evidence of this fact.
