During his visit to the Italian Republic, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Villa Borghese gardens, located near the residence of the Turkmen leader at Westin Excelsior.

While walking through the landscape park, the President of Turkmenistan gave specific instructions to the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, who were accompanying the Turkmen leader to the Villa Borghese gardens, to study Italy’s expertise in creating and designing such park complexes and developing the service systems, to promote partnership in modern landscape architecture, etc.

While walking through the Villa Borghese gardens, the President of Turkmenistan did some physical exercises.

The Turkmen leader could watch the cuirassiers practicing their skills and building various figures on the outdoor riding arena in the Villa Borghese gardens.

When talking to the commander, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov asked him about the horse training methods, including horse shows, and told him about the Turkmen school of horse training. The President of Turkmenistan suggested promoting an exchange of experiences between Italian cavalrymen and Turkmen horse riders and invited them to visit our country – the historical homeland for the Ahalteke breed. The Turkmen leader presented his book Ahalteke Horses – Our Pride and Glory to the commander.

Before leaving the landscape park, the Turkmen leader summed up the instructions given to the high-ranking officials to study the positive practices in Italy. All these together with significant intensification of relations between our countries in the spheres of culture, science and economy have the common foundations, the common basis – a man, the value of human life, the decent standard of living. We all need to maximize the potential of this cooperation, being aware of its noble goal – peace and progress. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that it was the aim that Turkmenistan’s strategy for promoting relations with the European Union, in particular with Italy, was committed to.
