President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the priority issues of the domestic policy and the draft documents were reviewed.
The President signed the Order on humanitarian assistance for the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal that had suffered from the devastating earthquake in April and May this year.
The President approved and signed the draft Resolution on the State budget for 2016. The Turkmen leader gave specific instructions on the preparation of the main financial document for the coming year.
The draft State budget is to be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration by November 1 this year. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the guidelines for the preparation of the budget should be the enhancement of the efficiency of production, introduction of advanced technologies, effective use of investment opportunities, establishment of new industries and promotion of the private sector. Particular attention should be paid to the development of modern infrastructure in all the regions of Turkmenistan and improvement of social sphere and living conditions of citizens.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on the construction of the building of the Training Centre of Turkmengaz State Concern in Ashgabat and the Resolution on the construction of refrigerated warehouses. Six warehouses designed for storage of fruits, vegetables, watermelons, melons and potatoes are to be built in Ashgabat and each region of the country.
The Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Minister presented the reports on seasonal agricultural activities. This spring, vegetable crops have been sown on an area of 4,915 hectares and melons and watermelons – on an area of 5,494 hectares. Currently, farmers are involved in harvesting the early varieties of cabbage and onions.
The report on the preparations for the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Croatia, which will be held on May 25-30, was presented. A delegation of cultural workers, artists and media representatives from Turkmenistan will visit Croatia. The programme of the cultural action includes the exhibition of the priceless collections of Turkmen museums and performances of cultural and art workers.
The report on the preparations for the international science conference “Ancient Merv – the Cultural Centre of the Turkic World”, which will be held in Mary on May 28-29, was presented. The programme of the forum includes a concert of cultural and art workers from Turkic countries; the guests will visit the Ancient Merv State Historical and Cultural Reserve.
The report on the preparations for Turkmenistan-Switzerland Business Forum, which will take place in Zurich on June 8-10, was presented. The agenda focuses on the issues related to the introduction of advanced technologies in the energy, oil and gas sectors and cooperation in the chemical industry, construction, transport infrastructure and food industry. The Turkmen delegation will hold bilateral meetings and visit the leading enterprises in Switzerland. The report on the preparations for a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Ukraine Commission for economic cooperation was presented.
The information on the preparations for the celebrations in honour of Day of Textile Workers of Turkmenistan on the first Sunday of June was presented. The international textile exhibition will take place on June 7-8. The programme of the forum includes a fashion show and the contest of fashion designers “Ceper Eller” which will be organized for the first time in our country
The information on the measures taken to organize summer holidays for schoolchildren was presented. 14 children’s health improvement centres in Geokdere, children’s health promotion centres in Avaza, 36 recreational centres in the regions of the country and 62 school camps will receive children during the summer months.
The report on the measures taken to optimize the construction of dredge hoppers with capacity of 120 cubic metres per hour and a barge with load capacity of 300-500 tons at the Deryayollary Production Association of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport was presented. The report on the measures taken by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to broaden the range of domestic food products and develop new types of products and services by Turkmen confectionery factories was presented.
The report on the preparations for the opening ceremonies of new architectural monuments, which will mark Ashgabat Day, was presented. These include the monuments Arkadag, Yyldyz, Ylym, Ak Bugdai and Sagdynlyk and the stele Abadanchylyk built in the picturesque parts of the capital city. The report on the preparations for the XIV International Universal Exhibition “White City Ashgabat” was presented.
The specimens of various types of high quality tiles produced from innovative materials by domestic companies and currently used on construction sites were presented to the Turkmen leader.
