President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko, who arrived in Ashgabat at the head of the delegation of his country to participate in the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Ukraine Commission for economic cooperation.
An exchange of views on a wide range of aspects of interstate cooperation took place during the meeting. The President of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine discussed the possibility of building up cooperation in the trade, economic, energy and humanitarian spheres.
It was noted that particular emphasis would be placed on key issues of the agenda of the Interstate Commission meeting, namely the prospects of cooperation in the energy, machine building, transport, communications and agricultural sectors and the vocational training in the cultural and humanitarian spheres. The focus of the talks was the possibility of involving Ukrainian construction and design institutes in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan.
