President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree “On pardon of prisoners in honor of Holy Gadyr gijesi”. This decision was made in accordance with principles of clemency and humanism with a view of further strengthening of unity and cohesion of the Turkmen society.

In this year, on the threshold of Gadyr gijesi in accordance with the Decree of the head of state, 1061 citizens of our country as well as 10 foreign citizens got a chance to start new life, labor honestly and redeem their honor.

According to the Decree, the pardoned persons become free from further serving of primary and additional sentence.
