President of Turkmenistan receives Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Kentaro Sonoura.

Exchanging the views on the prospects of long-term cooperation, the sides expressed satisfaction with the successive development of Turkmenistan-Japan relations.

According to unanimous opinion, the official visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan in September, 2013, which resulted in important agreements and bilateral documents, including a number of agreements and contracts with leading Japanese companies and Japan Bank, offered a powerful impact to bilateral relations.

Expressing enormous interest of business and financial institutions of the Land of the Rising Sun in establishing close partnership with Turkmenistan, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Kentaro Sonoura thanked the leader of Turkmenistan for particular attention paid to bilateral cooperation and the search for possible ways for its development that Turkmenistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League contributed to.

In conclusion, the Turkmen leader and his guest reaffirmed the willingness of Turkmenistan and Japan to diversify mutually beneficial strategic cooperation expressing confidence in enhancing the tires of friendship, trust and mutual understanding between the fraternal peoples of Turkmenistan and Japan.
