President of Turkmenistan reviews new construction projects

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Archman sanatorium, where the Turkmen leader reviewed the projects of a number of social facilities.

The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports that the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh. Durdylyev reported to the President on the measures taken to develop and beautify the capital city. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers presented the projects of apartment houses and social, cultural and other facilities to be built in the north of Ashgabat to the President for consideration.

After reviewing the projects, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the major requirements set to all construction projects included the high quality of construction, the creation of comfortable conditions for citizens and the strict compliance with contractual obligations.

The Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the high-ranking officials to maintain strict control over the modernization of residential areas, the improvement of house adjoining sites, the expansion of green areas and the construction of comfortable houses and cottages in Ashgabat. The Turkmen leader said that this work necessitated the most responsible and integrated approach to offer citizens a wide choice of housing facilities meeting modern requirements and personal preferences as well as maintain a favourable ecological situation in all the parts of Ashgabat.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Satlykov reported on the on-going work in the sectors under his supervision and presented a number of construction projects to the Turkmen leader for consideration. Special attention was paid to the progress of construction work on the important facility – the building complex of the international airport with the office building and the passenger terminal 2 that had started functioning.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the preparations for the meeting of the Elders’ Council, which will be held in the Avaza national tourism zone. The forum will take place at the Avaza Congress Centre that had been completed recently.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers presented the project of a health improvement and recreational centre to the President for consideration. It will be built in Avaza in accordance with the Turkmen leader’s instructions.

When reviewing the projects, the Turkmen leader emphasized that every construction project must prioritize the development of social infrastructure, as the concern for citizens, their health and standard of living is an invariable priority objective of the state policy.

The Turkmen leader also demanded that special attention be given to the best combination of the health promoting factors, when developing modern recreational infrastructure in the Avaza national tourism zone. Noting that local climatic conditions played an important role in this regard, the Turkmen leader instructed the high-ranking officials to carry out the work on a systematic basis to maintain an ecological welfare of the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.
