President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference with the hyakims of the regions and Ashgabat and the heads of a number of ministries and departments concerned. The major objectives of social and economic development of the country, including the implementation of the national rural development programme, and other issues of the domestic policy were discussed during the meeting.
The heads of regional administration reported on the current situation in the regions and the preparations for the cotton campaign and the winter wheat planting campaign. The information on the progress in implementing the national rural development programme and the construction projects in the regions and the measures taken to speed up construction on important facilities was presented.
Commenting on the reports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dwelt on the rigorous continuous control over the work towards the achievement of the major objectives of social and economic development of the regions. Touching upon the current situation on agricultural lands, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the upcoming cotton campaign and the winter wheat planting campaign were the important agricultural campaigns that required the most thorough approach.
The Turkmen leader instructed to take all necessary measures to complete the construction projects in a timely and proper manner and prepare heating systems in the regions for the winter months.
