The two states share views on key aspects of international life, which determines to a large extent the high level of mutual trust that is the key to further enhancement of cooperation.
Focusing on the existing tremendous potential to promote cooperation, the diplomat emphasized that the constructive foreign policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who pays special attention to the strengthening of the best traditions of good neighbourliness and fruitful dialogue with the countries of the region, opened up ample opportunities to enhance it. Particular emphasis was placed on trade and economic relations. Priority was given to the implementation of new joint projects, many of which had been discussed at the recent business meeting of the Turkmen leader with the business elite of the friendly country, held in the framework of his working visit to the Republic of Turkey.
Noting with satisfaction that the intergovernmental dialogue was dynamically developing, the Turkmen leader and the plenipotentiary representative of Turkey focused on the need to continue to hold bilateral meetings at different levels as well as galvanize the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Turkey Commission for economic cooperation that facilitated the identification of key vectors of long-term partnership, based on equality and mutual trust and benefit.
The major objectives of promoting interstate relations include the enhancement of traditional cultural and humanitarian contacts that the Days of Culture and the participation of delegations of the two countries in exhibitions and science and art forums directly contribute to, strengthening the ties of centuries-old historical, cultural and spiritual affinities of the two brotherly nations.
Dwelling on great importance attached by the two countries to the integrated development of traditional Turkmen-Turkish relations, the Turkmen leader expressed gratitude to media representatives from the Republic of Turkey who are working in Turkmenistan and providing wide coverage of on-going changes in our country.
