An official visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov to Turkmenistan started on August 24.
The programme of the two-day visit includes the trip to the city of Turkmenbashi, where the distinguished guest will see the progress of construction of the International Sea Port and get acquainted with the work of the largest in the region industrial enterprise – Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries.
The bilateral talks between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov in Ashgabat will contribute to the progressive development of the interstate dialogue in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organisations as well as within the dialogue with the EU countries.
It is expected that President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov will pay special attention to the development of the mechanisms for diversification of trade and economic relations, which receive a powerful incentive due to the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Bulgaria commission for economic cooperation. Particular attention will be paid to building up cultural and humanitarian relations that provide the friendly peoples of the two countries with an opportunity to share the rich cultural experience and traditions accumulated within millennia.
