President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi within the framework of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt highly evaluated the peace-making policy of Turkmenistan based on the principles of positive neutrality that had become a significant factor of stability in Central Asian region. The President of Egypt expressed the support for the constructive international initiatives put forward by the leader of the Turkmen state from the rostrum of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly with the aim to create favourable conditions for the global sustainable development.
In his turn, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country was interested in establishing full-scale interstate dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt, including within international organisations.
The prospects of development of the bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic spheres and cultural and humanitarian areas were discussed during the meeting. In particular, speaking about the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation in the tourist sphere, where Egypt has gained rich experience, the meeting participants called for the establishment of business relations of relevant structures in the context of development the Avaza National tourist zone on the Caspian coast in Turkmenistan that has been rapidly turning into one of the promising centres of the world tourism within the last years.
