Within the framework of upcoming in New York the 70th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization, it was held a meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam Chong Tan Shang.
In the course of meeting, it was emphasized the interest of two countries in stirring up of trade-economic cooperation, concretized the priorities and trends of mutually beneficial partnership. Among perspective ones, it was mentioned the sphere of construction and production of building materials, fuel-energy complex, textile sector, tourism. Humanitarian dialogue, including mutual participation in the scientific-educational and cultural forums, will contribute to the strengthening of ties of friendship and mutual understanding of two people. Huge potential of partnership available at present time is the pledge for expansion of volumes of commodity turnover.

As the head of state noted, the participation of the leader of Vietnam in this conference will attach powerful impetus to the activation of bilateral relations. Having expressed the satisfaction with upcoming participation of the Vietnamese sportsmen in V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts in Ashgabat in 2017, the nation leader wished them successes.
