President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj within the framework of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Specifying the trade and economic spheres as priority areas for cooperation, the leaders of the two states called for establishment of relations in various spheres as well as within business circles. Wide opportunities for efficient partnership are opened up in the sphere of transport and communications given the ambitious projects on the establishment of international transit and transport corridors initiated by Turkmenistan.
Moreover, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj underlined the significance of strengthening humanitarian and cultural cooperation. In this context, emphasis was placed on the importance of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Mongolia held in September and organization of joint creative events on a regular basis.
