President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the regions and Ashgabat, during which the progress of seasonal agricultural activities in the regions and other issues were discussed.
The Turkmen leader presented the agenda and gave the floor to the heads of regional administration who reported on the current situation in the regions and the progress in planting winter crops and harvesting cotton. The reports on the progress of construction work and the preparations for the building premieres, marking the remarkable dates in the national calendar, were presented.
Focusing on the improper management of agro-technical activities in Ahal Velayat, the Turkmen leader expressed dissatisfaction with the work done by the Ahal Velayat Hyakim. The Turkmen leader dwelt upon the slow pace of winter crop planting in the region.
Emphasizing that the work in Kaahka, Derweze and Baharly Etrap was behind schedule, the Turkmen leader demanded that the reasons behind that situation should be investigated and all the necessary measures to speed up the agricultural campaign should be taken.
The dissatisfaction with the progress of the cotton campaign in certain etraps of Ahal Velayat, in particular Kaahka, Derweze and Ak Bugdai Etrap, was expressed. The Turkmen leader demanded that the head of regional administration should investigate and eliminate the factors hindering the agricultural campaign.
Focusing on the slow pace of winter crop planting in Bereket Etrap, the President demanded that available material and technical resources should be used more effectively. The Turkmen leader instructed to hold the opening ceremonies of the monument to Magtymguly Fraghi and the museum, dedicated to the life and creative work of the great Turkmen poet, in Balkan Velayat in a proper manner.
Noting that the winter crop planting campaign in Akdepe Etrap and Gurbansoltan Eje Etrap in Dashoguz Velayat was managed improperly, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the Dashoguz Velayat Hyakim the specific instructions to take all the necessary measures to speed up the agricultural campaign.
The Turkmen leader instructed to develop the detailed action plan in order to eliminate the shortcomings in the management of the cotton campaign in Ruhubelent, Gurbansoltan Eje and Kunya Urgench Etrap.
The Turkmen leader noted that the management of the cotton and winter crop planting campaigns and agricultural activities in whole in Lebap Velayat had failed to meet modern requirements and existing potential. In particular, the winter crop planting campaign in Atamyrat, Sakar and Dovletli Etrap failed to meet the targets. In this regard, the Turkmen leader instructed the high-ranking officials to take all the necessary measures to improve the situation.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the improper management of the cotton campaign in some etraps of the region, in particular Birata, Beyik Turkmenbashi and Koitendag Etrap, the President demanded that agricultural activities should be speeded up through the more effective distribution of productive forces and redeployment of vehicles and agricultural machines to the areas which were poorly performing.
