On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Turkmenistan Mrs. Ingrid Tersman.
During the meeting, Mrs. Ingrid Tersman was briefed on the key areas of the internal and foreign policy pursued by the leader of the Turkmen state with the aim to build up wide international cooperation in the interests of peace, security and sustainable development.
Discussing the prospects of development of the Turkmen-Swedish cooperation, the sides put emphasis on the aspiration of the both countries for enhancing the interstate dialogue on the bilateral and multilateral basis, first of all, within the framework of large international organisations and authoritative structures. The proposal for holding bilateral business forums and cultural events was put forward at the meeting.
