President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated compatriots on the remarkable date in the glorious history of the sovereign Fatherland – the 24th anniversary of independence of neutral Turkmenistan.
Noting that independence is the national pride, the cherished centuries-old dream of our ancestors that has become the reality, the Turkmen leader expressed belief that the festive celebrations in honor of the Independence Day would contribute to strengthening the unity and cohesion of the society.
“Ambitious job has been done within the years of sovereignty of neutral Turkmenistan that steadily moves forward along the way of independent development towards the new horizons of prosperity and success. Our democratic state that proclaims an individual the highest value of the society and has accomplished grandiose achievements in all spheres of life due to the hard selfless work of courageous Turkmen people ranks among the powerful, prosperous, peace-loving countries in the world”, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
“The sovereignty gives energy to work, power to creativity, inexhaustible inspiration to strengthening peace and friendship therefore our people consider the Independence Day as a great holiday that symbolizes independence and happy life and treat it with a special respect”, the President said.
“New apartment houses, social, cultural and industrial facilities are put into operation in our white-marble capital, all cities and villages in the country on occasion of the main holiday of the Fatherland, the country of progress and prosperity. Colorful musical performances harmonious with the creative spirit of the epoch of independence that our ancestors dreamed about and that increase the creative inspiration and labour enthusiasm of the Turkmen citizens, their pride for the glorious past and wonderful present, the firm belief in the happy future are organized throughout the country”.
“We will continue our large-scale work in the name of the further grow of the prestige of independent neutral Turkmenistan in the world, prosperous and happy life of our citizens with the support and trust of our native people”, the Turkmen leader said.
