President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the State concert of masters of arts dedicated to the 24th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan held at the Palace of Congress in Ashgabat.
Heads of Mejlis and government officials, heads of military and law-enforcement agencies, heads of the diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in our country, ambassadors of Turkmenistan in foreign states, representatives of ministries and departments, scientific agencies, higher educational institutions, public organisations, mass media as well as workers of culture and art, the elders and students attended the concert. Among the guests to the celebrations were numerous visitors, who had arrived in our country to take part in the Independence Day festivities, participants of the XVII Conference of the World Turkmens.
The grandiose festive show begun with the patriotic song “Motherland! Independence! Arkadag!” glorifying the achievements of the epoch of might and happiness, its high creative sources and spiritual impulse. The performance of the Dokmachylar folklore group was accompanied by video clips reflecting the milestones of development of the neutral Turkmen state.
This year’s concert is remarkable for the variety of genres and performances that demonstrate the rich potential of the Turkmen art. The pathetic beginning of the concert continued with the performance of young citizens of Turkmenistan – winners of the Garaşsyzlygyň Merjen Däneleri creative contest and children’s dancing groups.
Popular artistic groups of the country, famous singers, opera artists and rising stars of the Turkmen national art, famous dancing and folklore groups demonstrated the mastership to the audience. The brilliant performances of drummers, the group of young violinists "Mukam" and artists of the Turkmen State Dancing Group were awarded with the storm of applause.
The soloists and Lachin folklore group, who performed the song dialogue “aydyshyk” added their original tones to the festive concert.
The final chord of the festivity was the song “Onwards and upwards, the native land – Turkmenistan!”, the wonderful music and inspired poetry of which were created by the leader of the nation – Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
For the artists, their participation in the State concert on such remarkable day was the highest sign of recognition of their mastership and talent.
