President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attends opening ceremonies in Ashgabat

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the celebrations, marking the opening of numerous facilities, built along the southern section of Oguzhan Street in the capital of Turkmenistan in the framework of the 13th construction stage projects.

Over 30 facilities, including 11 apartment houses, 12 office buildings, 2 schools and 2 kindergartens, health centre, entertainment and shopping centre and multi-storey car parks sprang up in the new district of the capital city, covering a total area of 970,000 square metres.

These construction projects are distinguished for the fact that they were implemented by the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The contractors include the private companies Gujurly Inzener, Rysgally Zahmet, Aga Gurlusyk, Polat Gurlusyk, Gyummez Gurlusyk, Durli Yaz, Nusay Yollary, Berk gala, Bayly Gurlusyk, Myradym. Ceper Gurlusyk, Osus Gurlusyk, Ussat Inzener, Nurzaman, Ojar Aziya and Berk Gala Gurlusyk and the economic societies Ajayip Bina, Cyzgy, Muhammet Balkan, Dovamat and Berk Yol.

The new section of the highway that stretches for more than 2.5 kilometres between Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue and Garashsyzlyk Avenue has modern traffic control and street lighting control systems, using energy-saving technologies.

It has the carriageway 30 metres wide and four lanes in each direction. The width of the highway together with the side roads is about 50 metres.

Pedestrian subways and bus stops of modern design with all necessary equipment, including air conditioning and heating equipment, are built along the route.

Office and administrative buildings sprang up on one side of the highway and high-rise apartment houses, built at the request of the Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Defence, Ashgabat Hyakimlik, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Culture, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the State Committee for Tourism, Turkmennebitgazgurlusyk State Concern Turkmenistan State Commercial Bank Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange – on the other side.

All eleven houses with 638 three-, four- and five-room apartments have underground garages for motor vehicles. There are green areas, children’s playgrounds, sports fields and facilities for social events on the territory adjacent to each house.

The newly built facilities include stores and consumer services centres, including the three-storey building of the Owadan consumer services centre, covering an area of 5,800 square metres. It is located next to the new office building of the Main Air Service Department at Turkmenhowayollary State National Service, where its specialists moved on that day.

38 ticket offices occupy the first and second floors of the building. Information boards, information desks, electronic sensor systems (touch screen) are at the customers’ disposal. 5 ticket offices that sell business class tickets are located on the third floor. The building also houses the offices of travel agencies, the 30-seat conference room and the Internet cafes where customers can buy air tickets online.

The four-storey white-marble building of the private company – the Insurance Services Closed Joint Stock Company sprang up on the other side of the Owadan Centre.

The new office building of the National Hydrometeorology Committee under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan stands among the new administrative buildings. A huge monitor, on which a variety of natural landscapes of Turkmenistan and weather data changing every three hours are displayed, is installed in front of the National Hydrometeorology Committee building.

The newly built administrative buildings include the five-storey office building of the State Committee for Tourism. It occupies a total area of 16,700 square metres. The Kopetdag Etrap Hyakimlik building is located next to it. This building complex covers about 34,000 square metres. The new buildings of the police station and other Kopetdag Etrap departments sprang up nearby.

The newly built administrative buildings include the three-storey office building of the Gazygaytadanishleyis Department of Turkmengaz State Concern. It houses a total of 200 offices.

The Bagtyyarlyk entertainment and shopping centre, built at the request of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, sprang up in the new city district.

It occupies a total area of 40,000 square metres. Though the entertainment and shopping centre covers a quite large area, customers can easily find the goods they need, using the digital directory board that stands at the entrance.

After visiting the entertainment and shopping centre, the President expressed gratitude to Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs A. Dadaev for the important large-scale work done by the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to implement the 13th construction stage projects and the contribution that Turkmen entrepreneurs were making to promote social and economic growth of the country and prosperity of our cities and villages and improve the stands and quality of life of citizens.
