President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, within the framework of participation in the Summit of heads of the states- gas exporters held in Teheran, met with the Prime minister of People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmalek Sellalem.
In the course of the meeting, speaking about significance of the Summit of heads of the states-gas exporters, the Turkmen leader has noticed that discussion of this vital topic today becomes the major and organic part of the international energy dialogue. At the present stage, the great significance is attached to the issues connected with development of more effective models of partnership urged to transform global energy dialogue in driving force of world development on the basis of balance of interests of all its participants, continued the head of state, having underlined that new mechanisms should cover both the sphere of production of energy bearers, and their transportation and final consumption. Such complex approach underlies the energy policy of the Turkmen state, defines the content and orientation of our proposals and practical actions in this sphere, noted the Turkmen leader.
Having highly appreciated the strategy chosen by Turkmenistan on creation of multiple system of delivery of its energy bearers to the world markets, the Prime minister of Algeria noted an urgency for the world community of the international initiatives of the Turkmen state aimed at diversification of export gas routes and creation of essential conditions for safe and reliable transit of energy bearers to the world markets.
As the head of government of Algeria noted, the present Summit is the major action. The results of its work urged to promote consolidation of efforts on creation of the effective, fair and balanced model of mutual relations on world energy space.
Within the framework of the meeting, it was held the view exchange on perspective directions of interstate partnership of Turkmenistan and Algeria. Among key spheres of the Turkmen- Algerian relations, it was defined trade-economic and fuel-energy sectors. Issues of establishment of contacts in the field of culture became a separate topic of discussion.
