Today, during official visit to Iran, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has met with the Supreme spiritual leader of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Ali Hamenei.
Cordially and warmly welcoming the head of the Turkmen state, Ayatollah Ali Hamenei noted with satisfaction high level of centuries-old neighborly relations, developing actively at the present stage between Turkmenistan and Iran based on principles of friendship, brotherhood and mutual respect.
Having thanked for warm reception, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has underlined that development of fruitful dialogue with the states of the planet, and first of all, with the nearest neighbors is one of priority directions of Turkmenistan policy celebrating the 20 anniversary of the status of a constant neutrality this year.
