President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the important issues of the domestic policy and the preparations for significant events and big festivities, including the Harvest Day celebrated on the last Sunday of November and Neutrality Day, were discussed.
The State News Agency (TDH) reports that the programme of festivities scheduled for December 12 was considered during the meeting. The leaders of a number of states and numerous foreign guests will arrive in the Turkmen capital to participate in the celebrations.
The President of Turkmenistan suggested that the festive events should started with the meeting of the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan in the Ruhyet Palace on December 4 and continued with the ceremonies of presenting state awards to the best workers of various spheres.
Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan reported on the current situation in the spheres under their supervision. In particular, it was reported on the progress of development of paper market in Turkmenistan, within the framework of which the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan will start issuing bond certificates in 2016. The issues on certification of products manufactured locally and exported to foreign markets were discussed during the meeting.
The information on the preparations for the V International Cotton Trade Fair and Conference in Turkmenistan on November 28-29 was presented. It was reported that 80 companies representing more than 27 countries participate in the forum.
The reports on the preparations for introducing the Japanese and Chinese language classes into curriculum of secondary schools and higher educational institutions, including the Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management, International Oil and Gas University, Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications, International University of Humanitarian Sciences and Development were presented.
It is planned to increase the student enrollment in the relevant departments at Magtymguly Turkmen State University and D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.
Among the most important events in December will be the ceremonies of launching construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and laying the foundation of the third stage of development of the Galkynysh gas deposit.
It was reported on the work done to further increase the cement production in the country as well as to ensure reasonable prices for this type of products. It was noted that today, the task on satisfying the needs of ambitious construction projects launched in the country with locally produced cement has been almost fulfilled. 3,254,490.00 tons of cement have been produced at the cement plans in the country in January – November, 2015. 35 specialized stores selling cement at the price of 175 manats per a ton were opened in velayat and etrap centres in the country. The stores are affiliated with the Ministry of Industry of Turkmenistan.
The professional holiday of workers of rail transport sector will be celebrated on December 3, the day when the solemn ceremony of opening the international steel line Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran took place with participation of the leaders of the three neighbouring fraternal states. The reports on the preparations for the Day of Railwaymen were presented. It was also reported on the progress of development of the road and transport infrastructure, energy supply systems, improvement of the capital city and organization of trade on the eve of the New Year’s celebrations.
The information on the preparations for the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in our country, the coming architectural premiers and other events scheduled for December, including the final events in the framework of the programme “Mary is the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2015” was presented.
