President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov accompanied by the members of the government made on the bus a working trip to the capital. Examining along the road the renewed parts of Ashgabat, white marble buildings and structures of road transport infrastructure, the head of state made recommendations and gave a series of instructions on further development of the modern look of the capital.
New buildings should emphasize the unique architectural style of Ashgabat, said the head of state, having noted that relevant departments should take an active part in the work related to the development of the capital, all of its economic sectors, transport and communication infrastructure at the level of the highest international standards.
The President of Turkmenistan also noted the importance of attracting the talented young architects and designers to participate in urban development projects and designing works in the capital.
The head of state pointed to the basic guidelines of advance development of the road network of the capital in connection with the growth of urban areas and increase in motorization of the population, having noted the necessity of the balanced formation of the related infrastructure, including underground and overground crossings, interchanges, parking lots, etc. Having underlined that while their designing and construction, it is important to consider everything, including active involvement into practice of modern technologies and best experience, local natural and climatic conditions, thoughtful selection of building materials, etc., as well as the aesthetic aspect, the President gave relevant instructions.
An important issue is the maintenance of the ecological wellbeing of the capital, underlined the head of state, having focused attention on paces of landscaping works, providing the city with tree seedlings and other planting material. Among priority trends of urban development, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ranked the uninterrupted power supply of Ashgabat, increasing its generating capacity in connection with increasing needs year by year and gave in this account a number of instructions to relevant officials.
Having familiarized with the progress of work, being conducted in the capital’s international airport, the President of Turkmenistan accentuated attention on the issues of preparation of air port for reception of numerous visitors - foreign delegations, who will arrive for solemnities on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
Summing up the working trip, the head of state noted once again that the different objects, being constructed in Ashgabat and throughout the country, should differ by irreproachable quality, as all of them are urged to serve not only for present, but also future generations of the Turkmen people, and gave concrete instructions to the relevant officials.
