President of the Republic of Belarus visits Turkmen and Belarussian goods exhibition and fair in Ashgabat

In the framework of his official visit to the capital of Turkmenistan President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Sergi Kosgi Exhibition Centre, where the goods exhibition and fair of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, had started its work. The Turkmen-Belarusian talks, held in Ashgabat a day before, confirmed the willingness of the two countries to promote and intensify the fruitful interstate dialogue.

When visiting the exhibition, the leader of the friendly country noted that the Belarusian side attached great importance to promoting comprehensive cooperation with Turkmenistan and expressed belief that the fair would give a new impetus to implement joint economic projects and exchange experiences and advanced technologies.

The book by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov The Good Name is Imperishable, translated into the Belarusian language by the Zvezda publishing house and published by Ya. Kolas Poligrafkombinat Public Corporation was presented to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the Exhibition Centre. It was noted that the Belarusian edition of the literary work of the Turkmen leader vividly evidenced the ties of friendship between the two countries and peoples that became stronger with each passing year.

As is known, the works created by the leader of Turkmenistan, published in the Turkmen, Chinese, English, Russian, German, French, Turkish and other languages of the world in mass circulation, have become available for millions of foreign readers, giving them a unique opportunity to learn about the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and their rich history and modern times.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Olympic Village that would be the venue for the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017. Expressing admiration for the scale and progress on the project implementation, the distinguished guest said that the huge sports complex would be the pride of Turkmenistan and a place of attraction of many athletes and fans from all over the world, including those from Belarus and that the V Asian Games would enable the Turkmen state to take a rightful place in the world sports arena as a host country of large-scale international sporting events.

In the afternoon, the distinguished guest visited the Halk Hakydasy memorial complex, located in the southwest of the capital city that commemorates the defenders of the Fatherland and the victims of the devastating 1948 Ashgabat earthquake. The leader of the Republic of Belarus laid flowers at the Baky Sohrat monument and visited the museum, located on the territory of the memorial complex. President Alexander Lukashenko wrote an entry in the Book of Guests of Honour.
