Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Navaz Sharif, who arrived in our country for participation in the work of the high-level international forum and festive solemnities on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
Pointing out with satisfaction the rapid development dynamics of bilateral partnership, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and honored guest were unanimous in opinion that confidential character of interstate relations allows Turkmenistan and Pakistan not only effectively to realize the arrangements reached at various levels, but also work out actively new directions of long-term cooperation, which includes productive interaction in different spheres, including trade-economic and fuel-energy, construction, agriculture and others.
The leader of Turkmenistan and the Prime minister of Islamic Republic Pakistan have expressed mutual confidence that long-term partnership will be also reflected in the construction of the largest energy route of the continent - Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline. It was noticed that already tomorrow, it would be held solemn ceremony of the beginning of realization of this significant project. In the general opinion, the laying of the this pipeline will not only serve for economic blossoming of the countries-participants of the project, but also, that is especially important, will act as the powerful factor of peace and stability in the region.
