President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat. The hyakims reported on the current situation in the regions and the capital city, in particular the progress of construction work on social and cultural facilities, the measures taken to ensure the smooth functioning of heating systems during the winter months and the preparations for New Year celebrations.

The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports that the Turkmen leader ordered that a wide range of food products and New Year’s trees and souvenirs should be offered to customers at the bazaars and shops throughout the country. Particular attention was paid to the well-coordinated operation of public transport services and the smooth operation of municipal enterprises during the holidays.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of the well coordinated activities among all the services.
