President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the president of the State Oil Company “Rosneft” Igor Sechin, who arrived in the country for participation in the commissioning ceremony of East-West gas pipeline. The meeting took place in the Congress Center of National Tourist Zone “Avaza”.
In the course of the meeting, it was discussed various aspects of activation of the Turkmen-Russian interaction in fuel-energy sector taking into account the increasing needs of world market in stable deliveries of energy resources, in particular, on realization of joint projects.
Huge investments, being made into scale projects on prospecting and industrial development of the largest oil and gas deposits, creation of multiple pipeline net and whole concomitant infrastructure, corresponding with the highest standards of quality, are vivid confirmation of the fact that Turkmenistan, possessing richest onshore and offshore oil and gas deposits, strictly follows all undertaken obligations. In this connection, Igor Sechin expressed the interest of the State Oil Company “Rosneft” in strengthening of full-scale cooperation with our country, possessing huge resources and economic potential.
In conclusion of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest exchanged their good wishes, having expressed mutual confidence in successful continuation of dynamically developing Turkmen-Russian cooperation, being established on equal in rights, mutually beneficial basis.
