In the Congress Center of National Tourist Zone “Avaza”, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the president and head of the group of companies “PETRONAS” Datuk Van Zulkifli Van Ariffin.
In the course of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest discussed the prospects of further expansion of productive cooperation, actively developing all these years on the principles of confidence, long term and mutual benefit. It is worth mentioning the fact that it was “PETRONAS”, which became the first foreign company to start the development of Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.
Having expressed deep interest of his company in continuation of constructive business partnership and active participation in initiated by the Turkmen leader the scale economic projects of national and international significance, Datuk Van Zulkifli Van Ariffin reported about work realized within the last period and submitted for consideration of the head of state new proposals on cooperation in fuel-energy sphere. Being recognized world energy state, Turkmenistan pays paramount attention to the development of this sphere.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that independent neutral Turkmenistan, steadily adhering to “open doors” policy and wide international cooperation, is interested in every way in involvement of foreign partners, having essential experience and innovative technologies, important investment projects, being realized within the framework of scale strategy of complex development and modernization of fuel-energy complex.
Having noted that all works carried out by the company are realized taking into account generally accepted standards, the guest thanked once again the President of Turkmenistan for high confidence and assured that the company he heads will accurately adhere to all conditions of contact with the Turkmen party, strictly fulfilling the undertaken obligations.
