President of Turkmenistan holds a videoconference meeting

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat and the Minister of Defence and Secretary of the State Security Council. The important issues of the domestic policy, including the progress of seasonal agricultural activities and social and economic development of the capital city and the regions, were discussed.

The heads of regional administration reported on the current situation in the regions. The information on the on-going work on agricultural lands and at cattle farms and the progress in implementing the construction projects, including those to be completed in the near future, was presented. The Ashgabat Hyakim reported on the measures taken to develop the capital city and renew its architectural ensemble.

The draft project of a modern auto service centre with a car wash in Ahal Velayat was presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. The auto service centre will be built with the view to expand the range of services rendered to drivers.

Commenting on the reports, the President instructed to take the necessary measures to carry out agrotechnical activities in a proper manner, increase crop yields and prepare agricultural equipment and machines for the spring agricultural campaigns. Focusing on the need to keep on-going construction work under strict control, the Turkmen leader instructed the high-ranking officials to prepare in a proper manner for the opening ceremonies of new facilities that would take place on the eve of the national holidays.

The Turkmen leader approved the auto service centre project as a whole. The President gave the high-ranking officials instructions concerning the Flag Day celebrations.

Emphasizing that the on-going work in the regions and the capital city should be well planned and carried out on a systematic basis, the Turkmen leader gave specific instructions to the high-ranking officials in this regard.

Minister of Defence, Secretary of the State Security Council Ya. Berdiev reported on the work carried out by the Ministry.

Commenting on the report, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the Military Doctrine of the independent neutral Motherland represented the system of principles, objectives and targets laying the military-political, military-economic and military-strategic foundations for military security and integrity of the borders of our country that pursued the peaceful policy.

The new Military Doctrine designed to enhance defence capability of our neutral Motherland is not directed against any country. Noting that the Military Doctrine was aimed at strengthening peace throughout the world and promoting friendly, brotherly and good neighbourly relations with all countries of the world, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on the new Military Doctrine of independent neutral Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decrees on the presentation of state awards to military servants of the Ministry of Defence and on the conferment of military ranks to military servants of the Ministry of Defence for their profound contribution to strengthening independence and sovereignty, defence capability of neutral Turkmenistan, their selfless service of many years to the sovereign Fatherland and their meritorious services to our country and in honour of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland.

The President instructed Minister of Defence Ya. Berdiev to present the awards to military servants, who had received awards and military ranks, during a solemn ceremony.
