It has become a tradition in our country to hold the solemn opening ceremonies of new facilities in a series of the building premieres, marking the remarkable dates in the national calendar. The opening ceremony of the large-scale enterprise at the Abadan Haly Open Joint Stock Company that will produce carpets and carpet articles took place with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Abadan Etrap of the capital of Turkmenistan on the eve of the national holiday – State Flag Day.
The ultra-modern industrial complex is built in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan at the request of the Abadan Haly Open Joint Stock Company by the Aga gurlusyk private construction company – a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The major investment project that marked the beginning of a new field of Turkmenistan’s light industry combines the important aspects, such as the effective use of domestic raw materials, the saturation of the domestic market with in-demand products that are not inferior in quality and design to similar products from foreign manufacturers and the prospects of the industry to enter foreign markets.
In accordance with the project, the enterprise occupies a total area of 14.5 hectares. The building complex includes the two-storey office building decorated with stained glasses, four production buildings, shopping centre, warehouses for raw materials and finished products and a number of infrastructure and supply facilities.
The car of the President of Turkmenistan stopped in front of the new enterprise, where the Chairperson of Mejlis, cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited to Turkmenistan, mass media, foreign businessmen and Turkmen entrepreneurs greeted the Turkmen leader.

After reaching the full capacity, 550 new jobs will be created at the enterprise.
Three high-tech production lines from Belgian Van De Wiele – one of the leaders in Europe’s textile machinery building are installed at the carpet weaving department. These machines are capable of producing large batches of high-quality carpet articles from modern synthetic materials with excellent consumer properties and in a wide range. Carpets manufactured using these machines will be distinguished for the original designs and a variety of styles, textures and colours to meet the needs and aesthetic preferences of customers.
