In his address the President of Turkmenistan said: “The efficient implementation of the foreign-policy strategy of neutral Turkmenistan and protection of its national interests are the priority of our important and hard work in the structural subdivisions of the diplomatic service. Wish you to achieve great success in your work to increase the prestige and strengthen the constructive role of our country in the system of international relations.
The work of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan is reflected in the development of relations with the countries worldwide and building up cooperation with large international organisations.
That is vividly proved by the equal and mutually beneficial dialogue between our country and various states as well as cooperation with the United Nations Oranisation, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the European Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and other authoritative international structures, which is based on mutual understanding.
The strategic partnership with the United Nations Oranisation is a priority vector of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan as the generally accepted goals and objectives of the United Nations Oranisation, first of all, its efforts on creation of the reliable foundation for ensuring peace and security in the world, conform fully to the legal status of neutrality of our country.
Independent Turkmenistan actively pursues a chosen foreign-policy course of permanent neutrality putting forward and successfully implementing important international initiatives aimed at building up wide cooperation in the interests of peace, prosperity and sustainable development in the region and throughout the world.
Being committed to the chosen foreign-policy course, independent neutral Turkmenistan is confidently moving forward. In this context, the most important tasks for today are to strengthen the legislative basis of the diplomatic service, to apply new methods and approaches in practice and to carry out strategic scientific research and political analysis as well as long-term planning given their results and accumulated rich experience on a systematic basis. The authority and role of our country in international relations significantly increases due to the policy carried out in this area.
Expanding the network of the diplomatic missions and consular offices in various regions of the globe, Turkmenistan intensifies cooperation in such promising areas as Southern and Central Europe, the Mediterranean and Asia-Pacific, Latin America.
Solving the tasks on development of good-hearted, friendly, equal and mutually beneficial relations and cooperation with neighboring countries, countries of the region and the world as well as authoritative international organisations today, it is important to understand clearly and comprehensively analyze the processes taken place on the international arena and put forward scientifically based initiatives in this regard.
