President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, the Director-General of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Sultan Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber.
Appreciated for taking opportunity to get a personal meeting along with the warm welcome hosted on Turkmen land, the guest conveyed the warm greetings from the President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, the Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noted that the United Arab Emirates is interested in development cooperation with Turkmenistan as a reliable and perspective partner with vast economic and resource potential.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that Turkmenistan adds greater importance to strengthening and developing of friendly dialogue with the United Arab Emirates, which was initially built upon the principles of equality, mutual respect and good will. Addressing the best wishes to the supreme leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the Turkmen leader highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation, noting the productive nature of international relations yearly filled with new content.
During the meeting, it was discussed issues on further cooperation in number of prospective areas including the fuel and energy complex, the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in oil refining, chemical industry and renewable energy sources.
The leader of the state underlined that Turkmenistan is oriented towards advanced world experience and introduction to recent developments in all areas of the country’s economy by implementing of long-term development programs.
In turn, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates confirmed the readiness of Arab companies to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.
