A scientific-practical conference was held at the Training-Research Center for Mother and Child Health Protection of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan. Pediatricians, neonatologists, surgeons, teaching staff and representatives of the provincial medical centers took part in its work.
The contributors at the conference presented the results of ongoing researches in the field of mother and child health protection. At the plenary and sectional sessions, it was listened to 49 reports on various aspects of pediatrics, perinatology and surgery. The main direction of scientific research of the employee of the center and departments are the issues of adaptation and optimization of reference low birthweight infants.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated from August 1, 2015, it was opened the Training-Research Center for Mother and Child Health Protection of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan. Here, it is provided the treatment and consultations for children on various areas of pediatrics, surgery, and perinatology, being carried out by the Center staff and teachers of the departments.
On the basis of Training-Research Center for Mother and Child Health Protection, there are six departments of the medical higher educational establishment, where the students from different faculties and courses, medical interns, clinical residents, postgraduate doctors from various provinces and districts of the country are trained and acquire practical skills in pediatrics, perinatology, pediatric surgery, neurology.
