On March 16, President of Turkmenistan was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science of Quaid-e-Azam University. A special convocation of the Quaid-e-Azam University was held at the Aiwan-e Sadr Palace of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
A special convocation held at the ceremonial hall, at which attended the representatives of science experts of Pakistan, university professors and teachers, students of the institutes of higher education along with the official delegation of Turkmenistan.
Vice Chancellor of the the Quaid-e-Azam University Dr. Javed Ashraf presented the audience large-scale scientific activities of the Turkmen leader. Under his initiatives it is implemented the tremendous reforms aimed at expansion of the Turkmen science into new boundaries, and development of international cooperation in this area.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the academic rank for outstanding personal input for strengthening the ties of friendship between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Pakistan, and for the outstanding services and mutual development in the field of education and science.
President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain conferred the relevant diploma on the Turkmen leader.
“I consider it as appreciation for the painstaking work done by the Turkmen people for the sake of interest of all mankind, which is proven to be a high level brotherly relationship between our countries”,-said President of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen leader stressed that the interrelations of success and progress of any states depends on the level of education and science. Underlying the importance of close international ties in this field, the head of the state noted the openness of our country to proposals and initiatives of foreign partners in terms of development of national educational system.
