President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working videoconference meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in charge for the agro-industrial sector, hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat and the Minister of Culture. The key objectives in implementing the social and economic development strategy, the progress of seasonal agricultural activities and the preparations for the forthcoming holidays were discussed at the meeting.
Opening the meeting, the President gave floor to Ahal Velayat Hyakim A. Yazmyradov, who reported on the current situation in the region and the measures taken to hold the cotton sowing campaign on the high level in due time.
Commenting on the report, the leader of the Turkmen state underlined the significance of paying close attention to the timely solution of all organizational issues related to the cotton sowing campaign as well as preparation of agricultural equipment to the harvesting campaign.
Speaking upon the implementation of the National reformatory programme, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the necessity to keep the quality of construction works under the strict control.
Balkan Velayat Hyakim D. Durdyev reported on the current situation in the region, the progress of implementation of the sowing campaign and the preparations for the wheat harvesting campaign as well as on the progress of construction works in the region.
Spotlighting the importance of carrying out the agricultural activities at the high level in strict compliance with agro-technical standards, which is an essential condition for yielding rich crops, the President emphasized the importance of proper preparations for the mowing season and provision of coordinated decisions of all the organizational issues related to the harvesting campaign.
The President also instructed the relevant officials to keep the construction projects in the region under the strict control and pay careful attention to further improving the social and living conditions.
