A vivid example of this is the enrichment of public life with qualitatively new content, much attention is paid to healthy lifestyle, promotion physical education and sport, strengthening international cooperation in the field of health and sports, as well as launching a month of cultural and health promotion occasions dedicated to the World Day health.
Development of physical culture and sports is one of the priorities of the state policy. This strategy is primarily aimed at strengthening health of the people to bringing up a physically strong, spiritually mature generation of well-educated and erudite young people and promotes the healthy lifestyle, broadly affirming ideals of the Olympic movement.
Guided by this goal, we have adopted the state programs in support of development of physical training and sports, preparing qualified athletes as part of a comprehensive reform.
Within the framework of the implementation of national programs and large-scale reforms with its impressive size of investments, which are directed to development of mass sports and health promotion movements and high achievements sports.
In all regions of the country and the area of national tourism "Avaza", are being built and put into operation in compliance with international standards, sports and equestrian complexes, stadiums, specialized sports schools, health centers, health resorts.
There is completed construction of the Olympic Village in our capital designed to conduct competitions at international level, which become a leading base for the preparation of the Turkmen athletes to Olympic Games, the World Championships in Asia.
We pay special attention to enhancing partnership in various levels with the International Olympic Committee, sports federations and in particular with the Olympic Council of Asia developing friendly relations with countries of the world in the field of physical education and sport.
The fact that along with 45 Asian countries, 17 states of Australia and Oceania have expressed intentions to participate in the V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts in Ashgabat in 2017 is another evidence of the international recognition of our country’s public policy aimed at development of sports”.
