President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular videoconference meeting with the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments and the hyakim of Ashgabat. The key objectives in implementing the social and economic development strategy and the issues on establishment of the modern transport infrastructure and promotion of international cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affair R. Meredov informed the Turkmen leader that fruitful relations had developed successfully with various countries in the world and authoritative international organisations, including the United Nations Organisation due to the open-door policy implemented under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The election of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development for 2017-2020, the Commission on Population and Development for 2016-2020 and the Commission for Social Development for 2017-2021 vividly prove the Turkmen leader's wide support to the foreign policy strategy.

Reporting on the measures taken for increasing the volumes of power export to Iran and Afghanistan, the Minister said that today 470 megawatts per hour were supplied to these countries. Reporting on the work done to develop new export routes, the Minister submitted the relevant draft documents to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
Commenting on the report, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significance of the reliable and comprehensive approach to the issues on speeding up the paces of construction of power systems to supply electric energy to foreign countries.
The President instructed the relevant officials to ensure uninterrupted and reliable supply of electric energy to satisfy the increasing demands of the regions.
The Turkmen leader also instructed the Minister of Energy to keep the efficient use of the huge potential of the industry under the rigorous control.
Chairman of the Turkmenavtoyollary State Concern D. Amangeldiyev reported on the progress of construction of motor roads and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions. It was also reported on the measures taken to strengthen the material and technical basis of the industry.

That proves the high interest of the world community in the constructive initiatives of Turkmenistan on building new transport and transit corridors.

Ashgabat Hyakim M. Abilov reported on the current situation in the capital city and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions to speed up landscaping activities in Ashgabat and keep the city clean and neat in compliance with requirements.
Signing the Resolution on sending Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh. Durdylyev and Ashgabat Hyakim M. Abilov to Singapore to study the practices of the free economic zones in the sphere of construction and architecture, the President gave a number of instructions in this regard.
